Well, we survived the trip home for a week.  Actually, it was the best week we have had in a long time.  It almost felt "normal."  We did NOT need to see the local doctor, which was very good.

Because the boys are still not able to go to public places like the mall or grocery store, we did not do very much outside of home.  Plus, it was a bit cold and overcast or raining most of the week.  On Wednesday, one of the two sunny days, we packed up the go cart and scooter and went down to the park.  We spent a couple hours there roaming and remenescing.  On Friday, we went to the boys' school because the students were out that day, but the teachers had to report.  Everyone cheered for the boys when they saw them.  It was priceless.

On Sunday, we made the decision to attend church all together as a family for the first time since May 2007.  We sat in the balcony, just the four of us, and praised God for the miracles He performed and for the church that never ceased praying.  The boys got to wave at everybody from the banister.  Later that day, they were able to play outside with the neighbor kids (with masks on).  They hit the bed that night like a rock.

Early Monday morning, we packed our bags, said a very sad goodbye to daddy, who had to stay and work, and headed back for Durham.  We had to get back in time to do a blood draw on Trevin.  The results were good.

Unfortunately, Trevin, Brayden and I now seem to be suffering from some allergies, or at least that is all we are hoping it is.  Trevin has a cough, Brayden, too, and I have a drippy nose.  Hmmm...  We see the doctor tomorrow for our normal once a week clinic visit (probably a good thing).

Beyond words, what an amazing sight it was to have the boys home again.  Praise God!!  Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and support!
